What Actually Changes the Price — No Dollar Guessing, Just What Matters

If your panel genuinely needs more capacity, that's a 100/200/400A service & panel upgrade — we'll tell you plainly if that's the case instead of forcing a charger onto a panel that can't take it. Older two-prong or ungrounded homes may also need grounding & bonding brought to code first.

💰 Time-Sensitive: Federal Tax Credit

The Federal EV Charger Tax Credit Expires June 30, 2026 — and It Has to Be Working, Not Just Bought

The Section 30C federal credit covers 30% of your install cost, up to $1,000, for qualifying homes. After June 30, 2026, it drops to $0 — and no extension is pending. The catch most people miss: your charger has to be installed and energized by that date, not just ordered.

If you’re still comparing quotes, the clock is the real constraint right now — not the charger you pick. Installs, inspections, and permit sign-off all have to land before June 30, which means scheduling needs to happen now, not after you’ve made a final decision on a charger brand.

Eligibility depends on your home being in a qualifying census tract — we’ll check your specific address when you call, rather than promise it applies to every Springfield or Delaware County home. Do I need a 200A panel for an EV charger?

Not necessarily. Plenty of 100A and 150A homes have enough headroom for a Level 2 charger once we run the actual numbers — it depends on what else is on the panel, not the panel's label alone. If your panel is genuinely undersized, that's a separate service upgrade we'll quote honestly — never bundled in as a surprise.
