The right fix is a dedicated, GFCI-protected outlet near the equipment. If yours is a hot tub or pool, there may be bonding requirements too, which we handle as part of grounding & bonding.
Almost always, yes. Sometimes we can tap a nearby indoor outlet and bring it through the wall to the other side; other times we run a new circuit from the panel — including all the way out to a shed or detached garage. On the visit we’ll find the cleanest, most code-compliant path and tell you exactly what it takes before you commit.
It depends on your township — adding a new circuit more often requires one than extending an existing one. Where a permit is needed, we pull it, do the work to code, and handle the inspection so it’s properly signed off. That paperwork matters if you ever sell the home.
Code requires outdoor receptacles to be readily accessible and no more than 6’6” above grade, and decks, porches, and patios are supposed to have one accessible from the space itself. Within those rules we’ll place it where it’s most useful and least obtrusive for what you’re plugging in.
